| Obverse description | At center, the Lion Capital of Ashoka (the national emblem of India) is depicted in high relief, showing three lions atop an abacus bearing the Dharma Chakra flanked by a bull and a horse. Below the emblem, the large numeral '50' dominates the lower field, accompanied to its left by the Devanagari legend 'पैसे' and to its right by the Latin legend 'PAISE'. The country name appears in a circular legend around the upper periphery, reading 'भारत' in Devanagari on the left and 'INDIA' in Latin on the right, separated by small star stops. |
