Commenti	These miniature notes were issued by the Kongelige Grønlandske Handel — the Royal Greenland Trade Department — as a controlled scrip currency for use exclusively within Greenland's trading stations. The KGH maintained a monopoly over all commerce in the colony, and this currency had no validity outside that closed system. It could not be exchanged for Danish kroner in any straightforward sense; residents were effectively locked into transacting through company stores. The perforated edges are a production detail worth noting: the notes were printed in sheets and separated by perforation rather than cut, a technique more commonly associated with stamps than currency. Given the dimensions, the comparison is apt.
