| Obverse description | Central field features a finely detailed depiction of a yak standing in profile to the right, set against a mountainous Himalayan landscape within a raised inner circle. The animal's long shaggy coat and curved horns are rendered with considerable relief and naturalistic detail. Above the inner circle, a legend in Dzongkha script arcs along the upper periphery, flanked on either side by a small floral ornament. The lower periphery bears the Latin legend NGULTRUMS FIFTY BHUTAN arranged along the rim. |
