| Obverse description | Central design features two sinuous dragons facing each other, their bodies encircling a central vajra (thunderbolt) wheel motif flanked by floral and cloud ornaments in the traditional Bhutanese style. The legend KINGDOM OF BHUTAN arcs along the upper rim in Latin characters, while Dzongkha script appears at the lower rim and at the left field. The date 2016 appears in the right field in Latin numerals, and the fineness notation 1 oz Ag 999 is inscribed vertically at the lower right, all set against a mirror-polished proof field. |
