Beschrijving voorzijde Central field displays a three-by-three grid of the Eight Auspicious Symbols of Tibetan Buddhism (Ashtamangala), rendered in fine relief: the Dharma Wheel, the Treasure Vase, the Golden Fish, the Conch Shell, the Eternal Knot, the Victory Banner, the Lotus Flower, and the Parasol, with a Dzongkha script character at the centre. The legend 'KINGDOM OF BHUTAN' arcs along the upper periphery, and the denomination '50 NGULTRUM' appears along the lower periphery, separated from the inner design by a raised beaded border. The mirror-like proof fields contrast with the finely detailed devices throughout.

Beschrijving keerzijde Central field depicts the traditional Bhutanese Buddhist allegory of the Four Harmonious Friends (Thuenpa Pungzhi): a large elephant stands in the foreground beneath a fruiting tree, with a monkey seated upon its back, a rabbit perched atop the monkey, and a bird (aBird of Harmony) resting at the summit, all rendered in high-relief against a lush landscape of stylised clouds and foliage. The legend 'THE FOUR HARMONIOUS FRIENDS' arcs along the upper periphery, with the date '2019' and fineness inscription '1 oz AG. 999' in the lower border, flanked by Eternal Knot ornaments on either side. A Dzongkha year inscription appears at the lower left of the border.
