| 备注 |
Kubota Domain — present-day Akita Prefecture — issued this note under the han-satsu system, the decentralized feudal paper money framework that allowed individual domains to print their own currency for local circulation. Han-satsu notes were legally prohibited from crossing domain boundaries, which means this 50 Mon piece was never intended to function beyond a tightly confined regional economy. The Meiji government abolished all han-satsu in 1871 as part of the currency centralization that followed the Restoration.
Blue paper distinguishes it within the Kubota series — color coding across denominations was a common anti-counterfeiting measure in han-satsu production.
