Obverse description Black letterpress print on blue paper. A Hōju Cintāmaṇi (sacred wish-granting jewel) emitting flames, set upon clouds, occupies the upper portion of the note. The central field carries vertical inscriptions in Chinese regular script (kaisho), with additional inscriptions enclosed within a border of stylized fundō (scale weight) motifs at the foot.
