| Reverse description | The reverse presents a bare, unadorned left-facing bust of Freiherr vom Stein — the Prussian statesman and reformer Heinrich Friedrich Karl vom und zum Stein — rendered in high relief with considerable sculptural depth, dominating the central field. The encircling legend in Fraktur blackletter script reads 'Minister vom Stein • Deutschlands Führer in schwerer Zeit' along the upper portion of the periphery, with his life dates '1757–1831' incorporated into the legend at the left. The lower portion of the legend continues the inscription around the base of the bust. The overall design conveys a commemorative medallic character befitting this Notgeld issue. |
