| Opmerkingen |
Brazil's National Treasury turned to the Banque de France for this series rather than the more commercially obvious route of contracting a specialist security printer — an arrangement reflecting the close financial ties between Brazil and French banking interests in the early twentieth century. The "9th Print" designation indicates this was one of multiple successive print runs issued under the same design authority, a common practice in Brazilian Treasury note production of the period where plate reuse across runs makes distinguishing individual printings a matter of paper stock and serial block rather than visual inspection.
Duval and Crosbie were Banque de France house talent, not freelance contractors. Their involvement signals this was treated as a prestige commission internally at the Banque, not a routine export job farmed to an outside studio.
