| 备注 |
The third Banco do Brazil — a private institution reconstituted in 1851 — issued this series through the American Bank Note Company at a moment when Brazil's coffee export revenues were financing a genuine expansion of commercial credit. ABNC had secured a near-monopoly on Brazilian security printing by the 1860s, outcompeting European rivals largely on the strength of their steel-engraved intaglio work and reliable delivery schedules.
The A, B, C series designation reflects sequential authorization tranches rather than any design change between series — the plates remained the same.
