The denomination '50' appears in numerals at the corners, with guilloche underprint panels framing the serial number and value inscription 'Rs 50$000'. A vertical left panel carries the bank name and denomination in letterpress, and the lower centre bears signature lines for O Presidente and Os Directores.

Popis rubu	The reverse is printed in a two-colour scheme of rose-red and olive-green on plain paper, centred on a large ornate numeral '50' rendered in green with elaborate guilloche surround, flanked symmetrically by two oval rose-red decorative rosette panels. The overall design is simple and bold, relying on the contrast between the two colours and the intricate lathe-work of the central numeral for security effect. A faint ghost impression of the obverse vignette is visible through the paper.
