| Obverse description | Printed in blue on a light ground, the obverse carries a central intaglio vignette of a group of figures — men, women, and a child — standing at a waterfront with a steamship in the background, rendered in a classical allegorical style. The large numeral '50' appears to the lower left, with the bilingual issuer name 'SUOMEN PANKKI / FINLANDS BANK' and denomination inscriptions 'VIISIKYMMENTÄ MARKKAA / FEMTIO MARK' below the vignette. Decorative guilloche columns flank both sides of the note, and the overprint 'Litt. D' appears to the left of the central design. |
