Obverse description Brown letterpress note on cream paper, the central field occupied by a large Gothic-script denomination 'Fünfzig Mark' above a multi-line text block declaring the issuing authority and validity period. The Cottbus municipal coat of arms appears as a vignette in each of the four corners, framed by a guilloche border with wheat-ear ornaments. Denomination numerals '50' are set within circular medallions at lower left and right, and the legend 'MARK 50 MARK' runs along both the top and bottom margins.
