Beschrijving keerzijde Central design depicts a stylized locomotive emerging from a tunnel set against a globe in low relief, symbolizing the Kazakhstan–Turkmenistan–Iran railway line. Three national flags — those of Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, and Iran — are displayed prominently above the train, unfurling dramatically against the globular background. The circular legend GAZAGYSTAN – TÜRKMENISTAN – EÝRAN DOSTLUK DEMIR ÝOLY arcs around the upper and lateral fields, translating as 'Kazakhstan–Turkmenistan–Iran Friendship Railway.' The date 2014 appears in the lower field, flanked by small rosette ornaments. The overall composition is rendered in high relief with a polished field.

Aanvullende informatie

The Turkmenistan–Iran–Kazakhstan railway, completed in December 2014, was a genuinely consequential infrastructure project — the first direct rail link connecting Central Asia to the Persian Gulf corridor without routing through Russia. Turkmenistan's then-president Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow attended the inauguration ceremony in person, underscoring how central the route was to his government's trans-regional ambitions. This gold issue was struck in the same year the line opened, timed explicitly to commemorate that event.

The KM#188 is a low-mintage commemorative with no circulation history.
