Obverse description Central design features the state emblem of Turkmenistan, consisting of a central roundel bearing the silhouette of an Akhal-Teke horse in profile, surrounded by a decorative circular band with traditional carpet gul motifs and flanked by wheat sheaves. The emblem is set within an eight-pointed star frame bearing a crescent moon and five stars in the upper portion. The circular legend TÜRKMENISTANYÑ MERKEZI BANKY arcs around the upper field, while the denomination ELLI MANAT appears in the lower field. The fineness Au 916,7 is inscribed to the lower left and the weight 39,94 gr. to the lower right, with small rosette ornaments flanking both inscriptions.
