Obverse description The central design features the coat of arms of Turkmenistan set within a stylised eight-pointed star frame, depicting a Akhal-Teke horse within a central roundel, surrounded by traditional carpet gül motifs, wheat ears, and a crescent moon with stars in the upper field. Flanking olive branches occupy the lower portion of the field. The anniversary dates 1991 and 2011 appear in the lower left and lower right fields respectively. The curved legend along the upper periphery commemorates twenty years of Turkmen independence.
