Obverse description Central vignette is a portrait of Saparmyrat Nyýazow (known as Türkmenbaşy, 1940–2006), the first President of Turkmenistan. The design incorporates guilloche underprint patterns and traditional Turkmen ornamental borders framing the composition. Bank title and denomination inscriptions appear in Turkmen script alongside the numeral value.

Reverse description The central vignette presents the Seýitjemaleddin Mosque (labelled ANEW METJIDI) in Änew, rendered in fine intaglio line work against a salmon and brown multicolour guilloche underprint. To the left, the circular state emblem of Turkmenistan is set within an ornate roundel, while the denomination numeral 50 appears in octagonal cartouches at the lower corners. Traditional Turkmen carpet-pattern borders run along the upper and lower edges of the note.
