Obverse description	Ornate arabesque border surrounds the face, with the bank title in Arabic script at centre and the denomination "خمسون ليرة" (Fifty Livres) in large Arabic lettering below. The date 1938 and place of issue Beirut appear at upper left, flanked by guilloche panels and arabesque corner rosettes, with numeral "٥٠" medallions at lower left and right. A blank oval reserve occupies the centre, with Arabic text conditions of issue arranged in two columns at right.
