Beschrijving voorzijde The obverse features a stylized architectural composition in the field, incorporating a gothic arched window motif at left, referencing Lithuanian castle heritage, set against a two-tone mirror and matte background. At center-right, the national coat of arms of Lithuania — the Vytis, depicting an armored knight on horseback brandishing a sword — is displayed within a shield. Above the shield, the double cross (Cross of Lorraine), a Lithuanian national symbol, appears in the upper field. To the lower center, a radiant sun ornament is incuse-struck, accompanied by the mint mark. The legend 'LIETUVA' arcs along the left rim, the denomination '50 LITŲ' appears at the right, and the date '2007' is inscribed at the base.

Beschrijving keerzijde The reverse presents an architectural depiction of Panemunė Castle rendered in a stylized, graphic manner across the full field. Three distinctive round towers of the Renaissance-era castle are shown in detail, featuring conical spires adorned with weathervanes and decorated facades with window openings rendered in low relief. The design contrasts polished mirror fields against matte architectural surfaces to create a dramatic visual effect. The inscription 'PANEMUNĖS PILIS' curves around the upper portion of the field in bold Latin lettering, flanking the central tower composition.
