50 Litų European Cultural Heritage

The European Cultural Heritage series was a coordinated multi-country commemorative program promoted under the aegis of European institutions in the early 2000s, with participating mints issuing thematically aligned silver pieces to mark shared architectural and artistic patrimony across the continent. Lithuania's entry came during a period of active numismatic output from Lietuvos Bankas following EU accession in 2004, when the bank notably expanded its commemorative program in both volume and ambition.

The 28.28g / 38.61mm specification is the standard agreed weight and diameter used across nearly all participating nations in this series — a deliberate harmonization that allowed the coins to be marketed and collected as a coherent set across borders.
