50 Litų Dionizas Poška's ''Baubliai''

Dionizas Poška was an early 19th-century Lithuanian poet and antiquarian who hollowed out two enormous oak stumps on his estate near Bijotai and converted them into a personal museum — the so-called "Baubliai." He filled them with archaeological finds, folk artifacts, and manuscripts, making them one of the earliest examples of a public ethnographic collection in Lithuanian history. The Lithuanian cultural revival movements of the 20th century retroactively claimed him as a foundational figure, which eventually landed him on a commemorative coin nearly two centuries after his death.
