| Obverse description | The obverse depicts the official seal of Vytautas the Great, Grand Duke of Lithuania, as used by the head of state at the time of the Battle of Grunwald, rendered in fine relief at the centre of the field. The circular legend LIETUVA is positioned around the periphery, while the denomination 50 LITŲ, the year of issue 2010, and the Lithuanian Mint mark LMK are inscribed within the design. The composition references medieval heraldic traditions, lending the obverse a historically authentic character appropriate to the commemorative theme. |
