Obverse description At left, a seated allegorical female figure personifying Art rests against a large ornamental letter 'L', cradling two putti in her arms; the crowned Savoyard coat of arms appears in the upper centre. A guilloche-patterned matrix along the left margin carries the arabesque inscription 'BANCA D'ITALIA', with the engraver's and designer's credits rendered in intaglio. The overall composition reflects the refined neoclassical vignette style characteristic of Barbetti's design work.
