Bradbury Wilkinson printed multiple Turkish issues during this period, and the color distinction on the reverse — the orange variant — exists because the Central Bank authorized a mid-series color change to reduce confusion with other circulating denominations. The earlier reverse in a different colorway was already in circulation when the revision was made, leaving two visually distinct types under the same pick number, which continues to catch out collectors who assume uniformity within a series.
