Obverse description Facing bust of Alp Arslan, the Seljuk Sultan, depicted in high relief wearing a finely detailed chainmail coif and conical helmet adorned with scrollwork at the brow band. The effigy is rendered in a bold, sculptural style with a prominent mustache and commanding expression. The legend TURKIYE CUMHURIYETI arcs along the upper periphery, while ALPARSLAN curves along the lower border. The engraver's signature A. KUMUK appears in small letters at the lower right of the effigy.
