The centre carries a large numeral '50' over a guilloche underprint with cloud-like rosette vignette, flanked by the serial number in red at lower left. The upper border bears the inscriptions 'REPUBLICA DE HONDURAS C.A.' and 'BANCO CENTRAL DE HONDURAS', with the date below; three signature lines appear at the lower centre.

The denomination 'CINCUENTA LEMPIRAS' is inscribed in a panel above the building, while 'BANCO CENTRAL DE HONDURAS' appears in bold lettering at the lower right. A decorative guilloche band runs across the lower portion of the note, and corner numerals '50' are printed in each quadrant.
