| 背面描述 | The central field features a portrait bust of the celebrated Moldovan poet and playwright Vasile Alecsandri, accompanied by a book and a writing quill, symbolizing his literary legacy. A landscape scene occupies the upper-right portion of the field, evoking the natural imagery prominent in his works. The inscription "VASILE ALECSANDRI" and the birth and death years "1821-1890" are engraved in block letters along the lower circumference of the coin. |

Vasile Alecsandri, the 19th-century Moldavian-born poet and playwright, was a central figure in the Romanian national awakening movement and co-founded the literary journal Dacia Literară in 1840. Moldova's claim to him is geographically legitimate — he was born in Bacău, then part of the Principality of Moldavia — though Romania issues its own commemoratives honoring him, a quiet numismatic argument over shared cultural inheritance that neither side formally acknowledges.
