| 背面描述 | The reverse presents a detailed right-facing bearded portrait bust of the renowned sculptor Constantin Brâncuși occupying the right half of the field, rendered in high relief against a mirror-like proof background. To the left, an engraved representation of his monumental sculptural ensemble at Târgu Jiu is depicted, showing the Gate of the Kiss and the Table of Silence with its characteristic hourglass-shaped stools arranged around a circular stone table, set against a background of stylised trees. The birth and death years '1876' and '1957' are inscribed in the lower centre field, separated by a horizontal rule. The legend 'CONSTANTIN BRÂNCUȘI' curves along the lower rim in capital letters. |

Brâncuși was Romanian-born and spent virtually his entire career in Paris, which made him a figure both Romania and Moldova claimed with varying degrees of awkwardness. Moldova's justification rests partly on the broader concept of shared Romanian cultural heritage, though Brâncuși himself had no particular connection to the territory that became the Moldovan republic.
