Opmerkingen

Romania was among the early adopters of polymer substrate for its circulating banknotes, transitioning the Lei series progressively from paper beginning in 1999. The 50 Lei denomination in this material has been continuously updated through minor security revisions across multiple suffix varieties — P#120h sits toward the later end of that sequence, reflecting incremental changes to authentication features rather than any redesign of the note itself.

Polymer notes from the Romanian series are prone to ink adhesion issues under heavy ATM cycling, a known characteristic of this printer-substrate combination that collectors should examine closely on circulated examples.
