The note bears two overprinted educational-use disclaimers: a red circular "ALEXANDER" logo at left and a bold red diagonal legend reading "PENTRU ÎNVĂȚARE ȘI JOC", along with the printed text "FOLOSITI NUMAI IN SCOPURI EDUCATIONALE SI LA JOC" in the lower left field.

Romania's polymer banknote program, launched in 1999, made the country one of the earliest adopters of polymer substrate in Europe — which makes this 2005 paper issue something of an outlier. By that point, the main circulation series had already transitioned to polymer, and this paper version was produced for a specific commemorative or parallel issue purpose rather than as a standard circulating note.

Worth confirming against Pick catalog data: paper-composition 50 lei notes from 2005 are uncommon enough that condition and provenance details matter more than usual for attribution.
