The central vignette presents a panoramic view of the River Daugava with the Riga cityscape rendered in fine intaglio line work, occupying the full width of the note. Bilingual Latvian inscriptions frame the upper and lower margins, stating the denomination in full and the gold-backing clause of 14.51613 grams of gold, with the year 1924 at foot.
