| Obverse description | At right, a large intaglio vignette of an African Fish Eagle (Haliaeetus vocifer) perched on a branch dominates the composition, set against a background vignette of a Sausage Tree (Kigelia africana) beside water; a dove vignette and the Zambian coat of arms within a circular guilloche cartouche appear at left centre, the latter dated 1992.
