Obverse description Central field displays the Ottoman-style calligraphic legend 'Cumhuriyeti Türkiye' (Republic of Turkey) rendered in elaborate Arabic script, enclosed within a decorative wreath composed of olive branches to the left and wheat ears to the right. Above the legend, a large crescent moon is flanked by floral sprays and surmounted by a radiant star motif with sunburst rays. At the base of the central composition, an ornate cartouche bears the denomination '50 Kuruş' in Arabic numerals and script. The overall design reflects the transitional Ottoman-Republican artistic style characteristic of the early Turkish Republic coinage.
