| 正面描述 | Printed in reddish-brown on cream paper, the obverse is framed by an elaborate scrollwork and foliate guilloche border with the denomination numeral '50' at each corner. An oval tughra vignette of Sultan Abdülhamid II occupies the upper centre, above a central text panel in Ottoman script. A second oval cartouche at the lower centre bears an additional official seal impression. The overall layout follows a letterpress format typical of Ottoman treasury notes of this period. |

| 备注 |
The Banque Impériale Ottomane — a Franco-British joint venture operating under Ottoman charter — issued this fractional note during the Russo-Turkish War of 1877–78, a period of acute fiscal stress that drove the government to authorize small-denomination paper to compensate for the hoarding and disappearance of metallic coinage. Fractional paper currency was deeply unpopular in Ottoman markets, where the public had long distrusted anything below silver.
The single security feature — a seal — reflects how basic the anti-counterfeiting provisions were for low-value emergency issues of this period. Pick 50 is among the scarcer Ottoman fractional types; wartime disruption and the note's small physical size conspired against long-term survival.
