| Opschrift voorzijde | SKARABORGS LÄNS ENSKILDA BANK Litt. A. No FEMTIO KRONOR 50 |
| Beschrijving keerzijde | Printed predominantly in pink and green, the reverse is dominated by a large central armorial vignette — a crowned heraldic shield with a rampant lion, flanked by the numerals '50' on either side within an elaborate guilloche surround of scrollwork, floral rosettes, and palm fronds. The bank title 'SKARABORGS LÄNS ENSKILDA BANK' arcs across the top in bold letterpress, and the denomination 'FEMTIO KRONOR' is set in the lower centre. Eagle vignettes appear at the upper left and right corners, with the word 'SPECIMEN' overprinted across the central design. The corner areas repeat the numeral '50' within ornamental frames consistent with the obverse. |

| Opmerkingen |
Skaraborgs Läns Enskilda Bank was one of the provincial enskilda banks operating under Sweden's 1824 banking framework, which permitted note issuance by chartered private institutions — a system that ran until the Riksbank monopoly was finally enforced in 1904. By 1888, these banks were already living on borrowed time, and higher denominations like this 50 Kronor were issued in relatively modest quantities to serve commercial rather than retail transactions.
The enskilda series is frequently underrepresented in international collections; most surviving examples stayed within Sweden.
