Opmerkingen

Norges Bank turned to Bradbury Wilkinson for this series at a moment when the firm was establishing itself as the go-to European security printer for Scandinavian institutions — a relationship that would persist for decades. The design credit to Christian Christie is notable; he was a Norwegian painter and designer whose involvement gave the series a locally inflected character unusual for notes printed entirely abroad.

Pattern status means this example never entered circulation, produced for approval or archival purposes during the 1876–77 preparation window. Such specimens from Bradbury Wilkinson typically carry punch-cancellations or ink stamps, and the survival rate in uncancelled form is low.
