Reverse description The reverse presents a detailed depiction of the Gothic high altar of the Church of St. James in Levoča, Slovakia, rendered after the celebrated woodcarving attributed to Master Pavol of Levoča. Three sculpted figures are shown in the lower register — a bearded male saint at left, the Madonna and Child at center, and a female saint holding a chalice at right — all set within an architectural arcade. Above, the facade of the historic town hall of Levoča with its arcaded loggia and multi-gabled roofline occupies the upper field. The engraver's initials 'DZ' appear to the right of the central figure group, and the inscription 'LEVOČA' is incused along the lower rim.
