| Obverse description | The national emblem of the Lao People's Democratic Republic occupies the central field, depicting a landscape with mountains, a road, forests, rice paddies, and an electricity pylon, all enclosed within a wreath of rice stalks. A hammer and sickle surmounted by a five-pointed star appears at the apex of the emblem, while a Lao-script ribbon legend adorns the base.
