Obverse description	The right portion of the note is occupied by an intaglio portrait vignette of Nicolás de Piérola in right-facing profile, flanked by the Peruvian Coat of Arms at centre and the issuer's title arching in letterpress across the top margin. Denomination numerals appear at the lower left and both right corners, with the value in full letters beneath the arms, while a blank panel at left is reserved for the watermark. Fine guilloche underprint patterns fill the field background.
