| 背面描述 | The reverse features a dynamic high-relief depiction of a Zaporozhian Cossack warrior standing amid stylised river waves, raising a mace (bulava) in his right hand while a Cossack river vessel (chaika) is visible beside him. An ornate band of Ukrainian folk floral ornament separates the lower figurative scene from the upper field, which presents a bird's-eye relief map of Khortytsia Island as it appears in the Dnieper River, with a Sich settlement rendered upon it. The inscription ЗАПОРІЖЖЯ XVI–XVIII ст. appears to the right of the island map. Along the upper arc, a flowing Cyrillic inscription reads Острів Хортиця на Дніпрі – колиска українського козацтва, while a four-line verse by Taras Shevchenko occupies the lower right field, attributed by the legend ТАРАС ШЕВЧЕНКО. |
