| 备注 |
Wimpassing an der Pielach is a small market commune in Lower Austria, and like hundreds of similar municipalities it resorted to issuing its own emergency currency during the Notgeld period — roughly 1919 to 1921 — when the postwar Austrian state could not produce small-denomination coinage in sufficient quantities. These hyper-local issues were authorized under provincial frameworks but designed and printed entirely at municipal discretion, which accounts for the enormous variation in quality and survival across the series.
The Jaksch/Pick reference JPR1238 places this squarely within the documented Lower Austrian municipal Notgeld corpus. Survivorship is largely a matter of chance — many were redeemed and pulped, others kept as curiosities by locals from the outset.
