正面描述 The obverse is dominated by a central vignette of the distinctive onion-domed tower of the Stadtpfarrkirche (parish church) of Waidhofen an der Ybbs, rendered in dark letterpress against a fine guilloche underprint of repeated stylised castle motifs covering the entire field. The denomination numerals '50' appear in large bold type at upper left and upper right, flanked by the abbreviated 'h' for Heller, with the issuing authority's name and full denomination in blackletter script arching around the central vignette. Three facsimile signatures appear at the lower margin under the printed titles 'Der Bürgermeister Stellv.', 'Der Bürgermeister:', and 'Der Stadtrat:', above the place and date inscription 'Waidhofen a.d. Ybbs am 1 Feber 1920.'

背面描述 The reverse is printed entirely in blackletter typeface on plain unadorned paper within a simple dotted rectangular border, presenting the full legal text of the Notgeld issue. The heading 'Notgeld der Stadtgemeinde Waidhofen an der Ybbs über fünfzig Heller.' is set in larger display type, followed by four paragraphs of explanatory and legal text, with the printer's imprint 'Druckerei Waidhofen a. d. Ybbs, Ges. m. b. H.' set in small type along the lower margin.

备注

This is an Austrian Notgeld issue — emergency small-change scrip printed locally to address the acute coin shortage that persisted well into the early 1920s, long after the war ended. The municipality printed it in-house through the town's own press rather than contracting a specialist printer, which was unusual even by Notgeld standards and shows up in the comparatively plain execution.

Waidhofen an der Ybbs sits in Lower Austria's iron-working corridor, and the town had issued Notgeld in earlier denominations during 1919 as well. The JPR1127a designation suggests this 50 Heller is among the earlier-documented variants of the series.
