Comments

Taufkirchen an der Trattnach is a small Upper Austrian municipality, and this Heller note is a product of the Notgeld wave that swept through Austrian communities following the monetary chaos of the post-war collapse. The Dresvereins-Druckerei in nearby Grieskirchen handled a number of these local issues, making it an identifiable regional printer for small-denomination emergency scrip in the Hausruck district.

The Jaksc/Pick reference JPR1059-50 places it firmly within the catalogued Austrian Notgeld corpus, though community-level issues at this denomination were rarely printed in large runs and saw genuine transactional use before the currency stabilization of the early 1920s rendered them obsolete.
