| Beschrijving voorzijde | Letterpress-printed in dark brown on buff-orange paper, the note is enclosed within a decorative border with scalloped inner edges and corner rosette ornaments. The denomination '50' appears in large numerals at upper left and upper right, flanking 'Heller' in Gothic script across the centre, with symmetrical guilloche scroll motifs on either side. A central ruled cartouche carries the redemption guarantee of the Gemeinde Taiskirchen, the validity date of 30 November 1920, a counterfeit warning, and the issuer designation 'Gutschein der Gemeinde Taiskirchen, O.-Ö.' in bold Gothic lettering. |

| Beschrijving keerzijde | Printed in dark brown on plain cream paper, the reverse bears the denomination '50 Heller' at upper left and a quoted motto at upper right — '"Pflug und Schwert erhält die Erd." Hans von Jebing, anno 1520' — followed by a Gothic-script explanatory text citing the committee resolution of 15 May 1920 as authority for the issue, made to alleviate the prevailing coin shortage. One of thousands of Austrian municipal emergency notes — Notgeld — issued when the postwar coin shortage left small communities effectively unable to conduct everyday transactions. Taiskirchen, a modest Upper Austrian market town, issued this 50 Heller piece under the signatures of its mayor and two deputy mayors, which was the legally required authorization format for Gemeindenotgeld under the relevant provincial guidelines. Three signatories for a village note of this denomination is not unusual, but it does confirm this was treated as a formal municipal obligation rather than a casual local scrip.
