The heading banner reads "Notgeld für die Marktgemeinde Straß" in Gothic script, flanked left and right by large ornate denomination numerals "50 Heller" enclosed in decorative frames. A central vignette presents a pen-and-ink view of the local church tower and surrounding rooftops, beneath which a municipal coat of arms is displayed.
