| Obverse description | Printed in dark red on cream paper stock, the obverse carries a large Fraktur script heading reading 'Gutschein der Firma Franz Pittner, St. Pölten' across the upper portion, followed by the issuer's trade description as hotel, property, and artificial stone factory proprietor. To the left, a detailed architectural vignette within an octagonal frame presents a multi-storey hotel building with a flagpole bearing the 'Pittner' name. To the right, the denomination '50 Heller' appears in bold lettering within a decorative cartouche, below which a text block states the voucher's purpose and redemption date of 30 November 1920, concluded by the manuscript facsimile signature of Franz Pittner. |

| Reverse description | The reverse, printed in the same dark red on cream paper, centres a finely engraved oval vignette of the Kremser Tor, the historic medieval gate of St. Pölten demolished in 1855 for the construction of the Elisabeth-Westbahn railway line, with figures in period dress in the foreground. Decorative ornamental band borders run above and below the vignette, and flanking Fraktur inscriptions carry a period lament about monetary hardship. The lower section bears a personal dedication crediting the image to the parents of the issuer, Franz and Caroline Pittner, proprietors of the Hotel 'zum roten Krebsen', with the printer's imprint 'Sommer, St. Pölten' at the lower right. |
