| Opmerkingen |
St. Georgen am Ybbsfeld is a small Lower Austrian market commune whose wartime Heller shortage pushed local authorities to commission their own emergency paper well into the postwar period. This 1920 issue — printed by Carl Queiser in the nearby district town of Amstetten — belongs to the second wave of Austrian Notgeld, by which point many municipalities were producing notes more for collector trade than genuine transactional need. The distinction matters for assessing how much actual handling a surviving example would have seen.
