| 表面の説明 | A detailed line-engraved panoramic vignette occupies the central field, rendering a sweeping Alpine landscape with the village of Spital am Pyhrn nestled among conifers, its church tower and clustered rooftops visible against a backdrop of snow-capped mountain peaks. Ornamental side panels composed of stylized floral and bell motifs frame the vignette on left and right, each bearing the numeral '50' within a cartouche. The place name 'SPITAL AM PYHRN' is inscribed in bold block lettering at the foot of the design, with 'OB. ÖSTERR' in smaller type directly below. |

Spital am Pyhrn is a small market town in Upper Austria, and like hundreds of comparable municipalities it issued emergency paper money — Notgeld — in the years following the collapse of the Habsburg monetary system. The 50 Heller denomination was among the most practical for everyday small transactions, and municipal issues at this level were typically printed in short runs by local or regional printers with no standardized production controls.
The Jaksch catalogue (JPR1007Ia) distinguishes at least one variant within this issue, suggesting differences in paper stock, overprint, or serial treatment — the exact nature of which matters considerably to completists working the Austrian Notgeld series.
