Denominations in Gothic script — 'Fünfzig' to the left and 'Heller' to the right — flank the vignette, with the validity date '31. Dezember 1920' inscribed below 'Gültig bis', and the issuer inscription 'Markt-Kommune Sarmingstein im Strudengau' running vertically at right alongside the large numeral '50'; the title 'Gut-Schein' appears at the top within a scroll cartouche.
