| 备注 |
Sankt Aegidi is a small Upper Austrian municipality that issued this Heller note as part of the vast Notgeld wave that swept German-speaking Europe after the First World War. The collapse of the Habsburg monetary system created a severe coin shortage, and thousands of local authorities — towns, parishes, even individual businesses — were left to print their own small-denomination scrip to keep daily commerce moving. Gesellschaft für Graphische Industrie in Vienna was among the busier commercial printers servicing this demand, producing notes for municipalities far too small to have ever contemplated issuing currency under ordinary circumstances.
The Mayr design credit is relatively uncommon for rural Notgeld of this type, where most issuers simply accepted whatever stock layout the printer offered.
